Why Choose IMA National Health Scheme
The IMA National Health Scheme is not an insurance scheme, yet it offers prompt, reliable, and member-friendly financial support that is often unmatched by conventional insurance providers. The scheme is designed exclusively to assist IMA members and their families in meeting the expenses related to hospitalisation and essential medical investigations.
Our rules and regulations are framed keeping the genuine needs of members in mind and remain flexible for amendments whenever required. The scheme operates on the principle of mutual benefit, ensuring collective support among members while maintaining affordability. Currently, the upper limit of reimbursement is ₹3 lakhs.
Compared to commercial insurance schemes, the annual contribution under IMA NHS is significantly lower. Coverage includes all major diseases, with provisions for expanding the list as approved by the Scrutinizing and Managing Committees from time to time.
IMA members, along with their spouses, parents, and children, are eligible to join the scheme up to the age of 80 years. There is no medical screening required at the time of enrollment. Annual Subscription (AMS) and Advance Financial Assistance Contribution (AFAC) are payable every year, with timely renewal notifications sent to members.
For claims, original documents can be returned promptly upon request if photocopies and a self-addressed, sufficiently stamped envelope are submitted. In most cases, original documents are returned as early as the next working day after receipt at the scheme office.
The IMA National Health Scheme is a tailor-made support system created exclusively for the medical fraternity and their families.
